Purple for Polio Day

Newtown Rotary Club is urging local businesses and property owners to illuminate their properties with purple lighting on World Polio Day.
The event, taking place on 24 October, will see buildings throughout the world lit up in purple.
The Rotary Club has asked Newtown Town Council to participate. Councillors will consider the matter at their Resources Committee meeting on Monday.
