Knit and Natterers raise £1,000 for Cancer Research

Newtown's Knit and Natter group has done it again, raising £1,000 for charity.

The group met up on Thursday for a social distanced get together in the Town Hall grounds for a knit and a natter.

Chris Trow from Cancer Research UK joined them to collect a cheque for £1,000 which was raised from selling items knitted by members of the group.

"Coronavirus has prevented us from meeting on a regular basis but has not stopped us from knitting," said Paula Roberts of the group.
