Christmas lights switch on plans to start

Plans for Newtown's Christmas lights switch on event are to be discussed next week.

Newtown Town Council's Economy and Environment Committee is due to hear from representatives of Life Bulb who are understood to be looking at an event to host the official switch on of the town's Christmas lights in November.

Representatives of the organisation are due to meet with the committee next Monday during a virtual meeting.

It is understood plans for the event will continue as it is being held later in the year.
