Support local business online

25/03/2020 @ 12:41

While many businesses in Newtown have had to close their physical doors, many have opened virtual ones and have urged customers to visit them online, contacting them by telephone or video conferencing.

Powys County Council and Dyfed Powys Police are enforcing regulations brought in by the government that mean many non-essential businesses have to shut their public facing premises.

However, several businesses in Newtown are pushing their online services, including estate agents, architects, retailers and others. In many cases employees are working remotely from home with access to business systems.

Food stores, petrol filling stations, ironmongers, supermarkets, pet stores and some other businesses can remain open and are in Newtown, along with banks.
