Newtown-based Citizens Advice Powys is to suspend face-to-face advice sessions, instead urging people to contact them by telephone.

As the Coronavirus pandemic continues the charity is expecting a lot of people needing advice on a range of issues.

"We have suspended face-to-face advice  and are diverting all of our resources and clients to phone advice instead.  We have increased our telephone opening hours from three to five days per week and are utilising all resources available to meet demand," said Yasmin Bell of CAB which is based at Ladywell House in Newtown.

Anyone wanting advice is asked to telephone 0345 601 8421 between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. They should leave a message and the CAB team will respond within three days.

People can also write to Citizens Advice Powys, Ladywell House, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1QS.
