Mayor praises store for elder opening hours

Staff at a Newtown town centre store have been praised by the town's Mayor for setting aside time for the elders of the town to shop.

Iceland opened its doors for two hours this morning just for elder people to shop.

“A good idea and well received by the shoppers. This is an example of how many businesses are adapting and helping those in our community.  I would like to thank all those coming forward to help," said Cllr David Selby.
