Some roads remain closed today and flooding remains a risk following Storm Ciara on the area.

Weather forecasters have warned of more high winds today.

Trees have blocked numerous roads, the River Severn burst its banks and debris has been strewn over pavements and properties as a result of the wind.

The emergency services have warned pedestrians and motorists to still be aware of potential hazers, with roof tiles and damage to buildings in Newtown and the surrounding area to be still a risk.

Powys County Council's workers have been working over the past day to clear roads and streets of debris.
