Plans for digital display board given green light

Planning permission has been approved for a digital display board in Newtown town centre.

The device will be used to provide information for residents and visitors on events, attractions and other information.

Newtown Town Council applied for planning permission with Powys County Council to install the digital display board outside its offices at The Cross in Broad Street.

The county council has approved the plans.
