Police were called to what they have described as a 'serious disorder' in a field near Maesyrhandir in Newtown on Saturday evening.
Four people were arrested during the incident in a field behind Maes y Coed. It is understood a large group of people aged between 18 and 40 years of age were involved in the incident, although police have been unable to provide more details on the incident.
In a statement, police said: "Police are investigating an incident of serious disorder which is alleged to have occurred in the field behind Maes Y Coed, Maesyrhandir, Newtown shortly before 5pm on Saturday 4th June. It has been alleged that the incident involved a large group of people aged between 18 and 40 years."
Inspector Diane Davies added: "Four arrests have been made in connection with the matter." Police are appealing for anyone with information relating to this matter to contact them on 101, alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
