Choir to bring festive music to Newtown on Saturday

Newtown and District Male Voice Choir will be bringing some festive cheer to Newtown this Saturday as they perform at two locations in the town. 

In the morning, they will be singing a selection of Christmas songs and favourites from their repertoire in Bear Lanes Shopping Centre, and in the afternoon they will be entertaining Christmas shoppers at Tesco in Newtown.

These will be the choir’s last performances of 2019, and bring an end to what has been a very busy and successful year. Their focus will now turn to 2020, which is set to be another busy year with many engagements already lined up in the local area and further afield, including a tour to Belgium in the summer.

The choir are also pleased to announce that tickets for their 2020 Annual Concert are now on sale and would make ideal last minute Christmas presents. The concert will take place at The Hafren, Newtown on Saturday 25^th April 2020, when they will be joined by guest soloists Shân Cothi and Rhodri Prys Jones.
