Annual Christmas festival to take place in Montgomery

Montgomery is preparing for its annual Christmas festival later this month.

The event will take place on Saturday, 30 November, with residents and businesses all preparing to take part between 2pm and 8pm.

"Come and visit the town and treat yourself to some of the delights on offer.  The street  and indoor market will commence at 2pm, continuing until 8pm," said Judith Barnes.

"There will be a selection of seasonal goodies and gifts on offer ranging from craft beers, wooden giftware, artisan breads, glassware, jewellery, festive stationery, local artwork, craft and much more.

"Local musicians will provide entertainment at intervals throughout the day. A selection of street Food will be available on the day to eat and to take home for use at a later date."

Judith added: "Visit the town to see Santa and his elves parade down broad street at 5.45pm in time to switch on the Christmas lights at 6pm to make Montgomery glisten like jewels once again."

The service buses will travel to Montgomery as usual (route 558 and T12) so an opportunity for people to visit rather than driving.

Shelter will be provided at various points in the town to make it an all weather event.
