Residents in Montgomeryshire can take part in an exercise to help ensure the details about premises with access to superfast broadband is as accurate as possible.

Open Market Reviews are carried out regularly with broadband providers to map out which premises receive superfast broadband, which are in line to receive it in the near future and which areas are not likely to receive it by the private sector.

"The vast majority of premises in Wales can now receive it, but some premises remain without access," said a Welsh Government spokesperson.

"To ensure information on individual premises gathered in the latest review is as accurate as possible, a consultation is being launched where residents and businesses, as well as broadband providers themselves, can check if the details on their premises are correct.

"If the details are not correct they can be amended through a simple process helping provide a more accurate picture of broadband coverage on a premises by premises level.

Deputy Economy Minister Lee Waters said: “More than nine out of ten premises in Wales can now receive superfast broadband.  To have as accurate a picture as possible of the remaining premises without access we are encouraging residents to check if the details we’ve received from broadband providers are correct.

“If the map shows your premises is receiving superfast broadband and you know you do not, there is a simple process to correct that information.

“This will help provide an accurate picture as we look at ways of assisting the remaining premises."

The consultation can be accessed here   and will run from 12 November to 12 December.
