Looking after your bones is important, says society

The work of the Royal Osteoporosis Society will be highlighted at a talk on Friday.

The event will take place at Newtown Methodist Church in Back Lane at 2pm, with refreshments served from 2pm.

Fiona Cooper, Development Manager for the Royal Osteoporosis Society is giving a presentation on the work, support and information of the society including new exercise resources and the Osteoporosis Bone Research Academy.

One in two women and one in five men aged over 50 are expected to break a bone.

"The work of the Royal Osteoporosis Society is vital and it is important that people are aware of how to look after their bones," said Andrea Marlow of the society.
