Spectacular Rotary Club firework display all set for tonight

Newtown's annual firework display organised by the town's Rotary Club will take place at Latham Park this evening (Friday).

The event, which will include entertainment and music, as well as refreshments, will start at 7pm.

It follows appeals from police and firefighters in Newtown for residents to attend such events instead of letting off their own fireworks which can cause unnecessary worry to the elderly and pets.
