Meeting will allow residents to question councillors

A public meeting is likely to be held in Newtown next month to allow people to meet and talk to county councillors and the Cabinet of Powys County Council.

Cllr Mark Barnes is organising the event which is likely to take place during the week of the 4 November.

He said: :For everyone’s benefit this should be a cross-party meeting which should include officers, if possible, and I have asked residents to come up with the agenda.  It will also be an ideal opportunity for residents to meet our new Cabinet.”

It is understood the event will allow residents to hear from councillors and to put questions to them.
