Mayor praises organisers of school fun day

Organisers of a community fun day have been praised by the Mayor of Newtown for their event.

The Maesyrhandir School Fun Day took place last weekend. Cllr David Selby attended the event and said it demonstrated how the community worked well together.

He said: “I was delighted to join parents of this local school in the heart of our community raising money and showing support for the school.  Staff and parents were clearly working together to show the good work that the school does and have fun whilst doing it.”
