Youth strike climate protest to take place in Newtown

Young people from throughout the area are expected to descend on Newtown on Friday morning as part of a climate strike.

The YouthStrike4Climate event is part of the global climate movement events highlighting the need for action on climate and the environment by governments and corporate companies.

According to one of the organisers, Jasmine Jones, the event will take place at the Town Hall Grounds off Back Lane between 9am and 10am.
