More drop-in sessions in Newtown and throughout north Powys have been announced for the service that helps people over 54 years of age into employment, training or voluntary work.
Workways+ Powys is a project that gives free, individual and tailored voluntary support to help people who want to move into employment or self-employment.
“It’s open to people across Powys who are not currently working who want help, ring 01550 721813 to check if you qualify for the free advice and support,” said development officer, Janet Davies.
Delivered by PRIME Cymru and funded by the European Social Fund and Powys County Council, the free support can include one-to-one help with on-line and traditional job-seeking, interview skills, CV writing, sourcing trial work placements, training, basic IT, voluntary work or guidance on setting-up in business.
To get involved contact the project Development Officer Janet Davies on 07507 795048 to make an appointment.
