Laser light shone at commercial jet over the area

Pilots on a Ryanair aircraft flying over the area had a laser light shone at them, it has emerged.

Dyfed Powys Police said it is investigating after the crew reported a green laser light being shone at them in the Churchstoke area on Saturday night on land close to Mellington Hall.

A police spokesperson said: “The green laser affected a Ryanair flight flying across the area at around 11.13pm on Saturday. It is a crime to use laser lights in this way and it can be incredibly dangerous to air traffic.”
