Gardens to open as part of national scheme

Two gardens will be open to the public in Newtown later this month as part of the National Garden Scheme.

Dolly's Jamaican Garden at Brynteg, Bryn Lane will be open on 27 July between 10am and 5pm.

The garden is packed with exotic plants and entry will be £3.50. Children can enter for free.

Ponthafren at Longbridge Street will also have its garden open between the same times on the day. They will also be selling teas and home-made cakes.
