Town twinning 20th anniversary plans to be discussed

Town councillors will hear about arrangements for the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the town with Les Herbiers in France at its monthly meeting.

The Newtown Twinning Association is making the arrangements as part of the celebrations that will see the signing of the Twinning Charter at an event in September.

The two towns hold regular events and exhanges.

Town councillors will receive a report from Cllr Richard Williams about the plans and costs of the anniversary celebrations.
