An event celebrating the inauguration of Newtown's new mayor will also highlight the work of local groups and organisations.
Cllr David Selby, who is also a Powys county councillor, will host his event next month at The Hafren when the annual Newtown Town Council community awards will also be presented.
Newtown Community Choir and pupils from Ysgol Dafydd Llwyd will also be in attendance to entertain invited guests.
"The presentation will take place during the event, which this year will be an informal gathering bringing together organisations and businesses from around the town," said Cllr Selby.
Following his appointment in May, Cllr Selby said he wanted his time in office to be a chance to make Newtown even better.
