New primary school officially opened

Welsh Education Minister Kirsty Williams AM has officially opened a new primary school in the area.

The Minister was at Carno Primary School today where a new school has been built next to the old school.

School pupils sang songs and were joined by local dignitaries and others for the event, including Cllr Myfanwy Alexander who is the portfolio holder responsible for education in Powys.

Pupils moved into the school last month after the building was completed.
