Ten complaints made to council Ombudsman

01/06/2019 @ 10:34

Ten complaints have been to the Ombudsman about Powys County Council, including county, town and community councillors.

Members of Powys County Council’s (PCC) standards committee will be told how many complaints have been made to a watchdog.

At the meeting on Wednesday, 5 June, head of legal and democratic services, Clive Pinney, will be outlining how many complaints are investigated or at by the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales, Nick Bennett.

These would be complaints about PCC councillors and Town or Community councillors in the county.

Mr Pinney in his report will tell the committee that there are;

2 complaints the Ombudsman is investigating
8 complaints that the Ombudsman has not decided yet if they merit investigation
1 complaint where a decision was made not to investigate but is now subject to a review
1 complaint was received but was not investigated
The document says that the report is for decision, information and discussion.

There are no details to go with the complaints.
