Easter Egg hunt success

24/04/2019 @ 02:12

More than 80 school children took part in an Easter Egg hunt organised by Llanfair Caereinion Carnival over the weekend.

The event took place at Deri Woods.

“It was great seeing so many children discovering the woods, collecting their Easter Egg Hunt clues and solving the puzzles to win their prize," said carnival committee Chair Nikki Peate.

"The smiles on their faces were worth even more than the funds we raised for the Llanfair Carnival which will be held on the 15th of June this year."

“This is the first time we have held this event and the verdict from all those who took part was that it was a great addition to the Easter calendar and that children had loads of fun. A great success."

Nikki added: "The carnival committee would like to extend our sincere thanks to Llanfair Caereinion’s Town Council who suggested and supported this event and donated 40 Easter Eggs.

"Thanks also for the generous donations of eggs from Tesco and Sainsburys. The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust also gave terrific egg-related support and, of course, manage the woods to the benefit of all of us, all year long."
