A man has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following an accident near Llanidloes.
Police said they were called to a single vehicle accident on the B4569 after 3.30am involving a 57-plate Ford Fiesta car.
A police spokesperson said: "A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries."
"The road was closed with diversions in place and is still currently closed whilst investigations take place.
"If anyone has any information on this incident, please contact Dyfed Powys, Roads Policing unit on 101 quoting reference 028 for the 8 April."
