Knit and Natterers raise £1,500 for charity

Newtown Knit and Natter group has raised £1,500 which it has donated to Cancer Research UK and Dementia Friendly Newtown.

The group presented Cancer Research UK with £1000 and Dementia Friendly Newtown with £500.

The money was raised by selling items made by the members at craft stalls over the Christmas period. 

Knit and Natter meet every Thursday afternoon in the Methodist Church in Newtown between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

"Everyone is welcome just turn up with your needles and wool. We will provide tea, coffee, biscuits and a warm and friendly environment," said Paula Roberts of the group.
