Have your say on the future of Newtown

13/03/2019 @ 09:45

Newtown residents are being given the chance to have a say on how they want the town to develop over the next 10 years.

A series of events are to be held in the town to allow people to see and discuss Newtown Town Council's "Place Plan."

Councillor Richard Edwards, leading the Place Plan project, is encouraging as many people as possible to take part.

“We hope people will come and tell us their views on topics like housing, play areas, health and community facilities," he said.

"The Place Plan will influence the way in which planning applications are assessed in future and will also help attract even more investment into the town. We hope people will make the most of the opportunity.”

Drop-In Events In your area:

Monday, 18th March – 4–7pm - All Saints Church, Commercial Street
Monday, 8th April – 5-7pm - Newtown High School
Thursday, 2nd May – 4-7pm - Treowen Community Hall
Wednesday, 8th May – 4-7pm - Waggon and Horses, Canal Road

An online survey and an art competition will also be announced in the coming months.
