Paramedics and members of the public gave life-saving CPR to a man at Newtown Railway Station who suffered a suspected heart attack before police officers found £25,000 worth of cannabis in a bag he had, along with a knife and other items.
The incident happened at the station yesterday when the man collapsed before a paramedic and road traffic police officer arrived on the scene and gave CPR before more Welsh Ambulance Trust paramedics arrived.
In a tweet from the Newtown RPUSGT, the officer said: "Following a male in cardiac arrest at Newtown train station 333/178 gave CPR with members of public until @WelshAmbulance arrived. The male regained consciousness conveyed to hospital. 333 found over £25000 of cannabis in his bag. 616/1019 from @DPPNewtown went to assist."
