Councillors have backed Powys County Council's budget, the second time around, including a 9.5% tax rise and £12m of cuts.

The budget had been rejected two weeks ago.

The average Band D council tax bill will rise by £113 a year to £1,302, not including the rises already approved by Newtown Town Council and Dyfed Powys Police.

The budget was approved after changes were made, including dropping plans to close 10 libraries in the county.
