01/03/2019 @ 10:55

Four local food producers are among more than 100 from throughout Wales due to the attend the largest international food and drink event in the country.

Radnor Preserves of Caersws, Hilltop Honey of Newtown, Monty's Brewery of Montgomery and Randall Parker Foods of Llanidloes will attend the event at Celtic Manor Resort on 20-21 March.

Confirmed delegates at the event include buyers and representatives from across Europe, the USA, Australia, Middle East and as far afield as Japan, affirming Wales’s place at the forefront of high-quality food and drink production.

Hosting the event will be the Welsh Government’s Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths.

“Consumers are always looking for good quality and that’s why national and international buyers are increasingly turning to Wales. This was shown quite clearly following last year’s event, with the £14m generated for our producers exceeding all our initial expectations," she said.

"We are rightly proud of our produce and we know that the future success of the industry relies on getting them into as many new markets as possible, which is why BlasCymru/TasteWales is so important to its future success.”

Capacity is limited with tickets available on a first come first served basis from www.tastewales.com.
