Serious accident near Aberbechan junction

Emergency services were called to a serious accident on the A483 near to the Aberbechan junction between Newtown and Abermule late on Monday afternoon.

It is understood a car and a lorry were involved in the accident, although it is not known how many people were injured.

Police, fire and paramedics attended the accident which caused delays on both sides of the accident before diversions were put in place.
