Welsh minister to open new bypass

Welsh Transport Minister Ken Skates AM will officially open the Newtown bypass on 14 February.

Initially, it was not known if a formal opening would take place before traffic is allowed along the new road, but it has been confirmed a ribbon cutting will take place to celebrate the occasion.

It was confirmed earlier this week that a date had been set for the road to open.

Ken Skates will be joined by Russell George AM and other dignitaries and officials at the event on the morning of the 14 February.
