Mobile phone stolen from fast-food takeaway

A thief stole an Apple iPhone from the outside eating area at McDonalds in Newtown, police have said.

Police are investigating the theft of the iPhone 6.

"An iPhone 6 mobile phone was removed from a table in the outside eating area of McDonald’s in Pool Road, Newtown. The phone is described as being white and gold in colour," said PC Katherine Townsend.

"The theft took place on Friday, 1st February 2019 at approximately 10am. Staff at McDonald’s stated that the eating area was busy at the time so someone may have witnessed the theft."
