A free event providing information about bone health and osteoporosis will be held in Newtown on Thursday.
The National Osteoporosis Society will hold the event at Newtown Methodist Church in Back Lane between 2.30pm and
Louise Fox, development manager of the society will welcome guests before Debbie Stone, an osteoporosis nurse
“Many people, particularly ladies but also men, suffer from broken bones and are suffering from osteoporosis but it often goes undiagnosed. One in five women who have broken a bone will break three or more bones before being diagnosed with Osteoporosis.
“This event is just aimed at providing information about osteoporosis for anyone (male or female) who is interested. Naturally, we are keen that as many people as possible get to find out about the event.
