Individuals groups and others looking for help in running an organisation, seeking funding or volunteering are to be offered help at an event on Friday.
Between 10am and 12pm an advice session will take place in Newtown jointly hosted by the Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO) and Montgomeryshire AM, Russell George.
The event will take place at Glanhafren Market Hall, Newtown, and is for community groups, individuals, community councils, county and town councillors that are seeking support in:
· Running an organisation (governance and trusteeship)
· Funding
· Community Engagement
· Volunteering
· Training on all aspects of running a voluntary organisation
Commenting, Mr George said: "I'm delighted to be joining forces with PAVO to host this advice session in Newtown which seeks to provide advice to a range of local groups who are seeking advice on how to improve the management of their organisation, the funding opportunities which are available to them and any other support which I or PAVO can offer.
"I hope that many organisations from across Montgomeryshire will take the opportunity of meeting with me and PAVO at this session.
