Brynllywarch Hall special needs school in Kerry is set to receive mobile classrooms.

Planning officer, Bryn Price said that the application would be to build a unit which would include two separate classrooms, four toilets and a cloakroom and recommended conditional consent was granted by Powys County Council’s planning committee.

Cllr Karen Laurie-Parry asked whether there would be an alternative area for a playground provided as part of the development.

Mr Price replied that it wouldn’t be needed as the “school grounds are quite extensive.”

Cllr David Selby, who represents part of Newtown, recommended accepting the officer’s recommendations and the application was passed.
