Yellow warning for heavy rain and thundery showers

Flash flooding is possible in Newtown and throughout Montgomeryshire today as heavy, thundery showers are forecast.

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office, with heavy showers expected around midday and on into the evening.

The warning means flooding is possible and with the recent long dry period.

Heavy rain is also forecast next week.
