The cast has been announced for the next production of Newtown Musical Theatre Company’s shows.

The theatre company has named Adam Jones as the lead, Joseph, in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, which will be performed at The Hafren later this year.

The famous multi-coloured coat will be donned by the former Newtown High School pupil who will play the lead role famously played by such notable artists as Jason Donovan, Philip Schofield, Lee Mead and Joe McElderry. Adam will be joined by Josephine Catherwood, who will play the vocally demanding role of the Narrator.

They will be joined on stage by a strong supporting cast, which includes a mix of NMTC regulars, returning members and newcomers. This includes Jonathan Davies as Pharoah, Mike Clarke as Jacob, Alex Oakey as Potiphar, Gareth Woodhouse as Reuben, Andrew Bond as Simeon and Richard Jones as Judah.

Tickets for the show, which will be performed in October, will be available soon.
