Over £1,000 worst of jewellery has been stolen from a Llanidloes property, just days after £15,000 of jewellery was taken from a Newtown house.

Police have issued an appeal for anyone who might have seen anything in the Troed yr Allt area of Llanidloes yesterday between 1pm and 5pm when the burglary occurred.

"Gold jewellery and personal items worth approximately £1000 were taken and it is extremely likely these items will be sold on," said PC Hannah Thrower of Llanidloes Police."

If anyone has any relevant information that can assist the investigation, please contact PC 491 Thrower at Llanidloes Police Station by telephoning 101.

Just days earlier more than £15,000 of jewellery was stolen from a house in Newtown. Police believe this jewellery could be sold in the Wrexham or Liverpool areas.
