Acclaimed local mixed choir Quindici are preparing for a busy summer with their first concert celebrating the re-opening of a church.

The season will kick off with a concert in Llanwnog Church celebrating the reopening of the church after major renovations on June 9.

The Powys Eisteddfod follows in July and on August 18th the choir will be taking part in Mid Wales Opera’s Gala evening at Powis Castle.

This follows the choir’s involvement with the opera company’s spring tour of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin where they formed the chorus in several performances.

Director Suzanne Edwards said: “We’re really looking forward to singing in Llanwnog, somewhere we’ve never performed before, and we’re hugely honoured to be asked to perform at Powis Castle with Mid Wales Opera.

"There are few backdrops more spectacular than Powis to sing in front of, so we’ll be keeping everything crossed for a fine evening.”

For more details of the choir’s engagements, anyone interested in joining them or to enquire about booking the choir, please contact Suzanne on 07970 955718 or e mail
