Firefighters from Newtown are preparing to embark on a charity challenge with a difference.
They’ll be walking up Snowdon, Wales and Englan’s highest peak, in aid of The Firefighters Charity, carrying a fire service ladder.
The challenge takes place on 10 June and they are looking for people to support them with sponsorship.
The Firefighters Charity provides help through rehabilitation, recuperation, psychological and nursing across three centres in the UK.
It also provides local assistance to firefighters in the area who need help.
