Could you be the next Joseph with his amazing technicolour dreamcoat?

Newtown Musical Theatre Company are searching for their next star to perform in a forthcoming production.

Having just completed their run of Mel Brooks’ comedy ‘The Producers', NMTC are now starting preparations for their next show, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, which will be performed at The Hafren this October.

The search is now on to find a Joseph for the production, to play the part famously played in the West End by Jason Donovan, Philip Schofield and Lee Mead.

Prospective Joseph’s should be in their 20’s or 30’s, and will need to be good singers in order to perform songs such as ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Close Every Door’. The company is also looking for other cast members, including the Narrator, Pharaoh, Jacob, Joseph’s Brothers and their Wives.

Auditions for all parts will take place in the next few weeks.

If you would like to audition for one of these parts, or are interested in being involved in the show in some other way, you should contact Les Skilton, the show’s director, on 07791878153.

Alternatively, you can e-mail newtownmtc@hotmail.co.uk.
