Powys based company Revive & Thrive has become a partner of the Institute of Place Management

Revive & Thrive is a Powys based membership and regeneration company that works in towns and cities around the UK, specialising in Town Centre and Place Management and Business Improvement Districts.

The Institute of Place Management (IPM) is the professional body for the place management sector and both organisations have committed to work together to make it easier for place managers to get the information and support they need to do their jobs.

The agreement will enable more Revive and Thrive events to be recognised as valuable learning opportunities for delegates, through IPM’s continuing professional development accreditation process.

In addition, more insight and knowledge developed by the world-leading researchers in IPM will now be shared through the Revive and Thrive community.

Professor Cathy Parker, Chair of the Institute of Place Management said, “We have been very impressed with the Revive and Thrive team, their events as well as Place Magazineso we are really pleased to have the opportunity to work more closely together”.

MD and Founder of Revive & Thrive, Mark Barnes, said: “The two organisations complement each other extremely well and will offer a huge amount of value to their respective networks.

“We have a shared ethos of supporting places of all sizes and offering accessible information to place managers, councils and community activists to enable them to bring about the changes they want in the places that they care about,” he added.

The company acknowledges that town centres are as much about experience as they are about retail and strives to deliver numerous reasons to attract new visitors and encourage existing visitors to come back time and time again.”

Revive & Thrive owns and delivers the monthly Place Magazine to in excess of 30,000 people interested or working in place management and has members from all levels of regeneration and economic development spread all across the UK.

“Working with the membership and Place Magazine. Revive & Thrive shares great ideas and best practice that can be picked up and delivered in your community,” said Mr Barnes.

“With the regional events and annual conferenced Revive & Thrive is truly for all people passionate about place.”
