One person taken to hospital after three car smash

One person has been taken to hospital following a three vehicle accident on the Newtown to Aberbechan road this evening.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue crew from Newtown and other emergency services were called to the accident at 4.30pm following the accident on the B4568.

Firefighters had to release one person from the accident who was then taken to hospital by ambulance. Their injuries are not known.

A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said three private vehicles were involved in the accident.

Fire crews were still on the scene at 5.45pm.
