Plans to alleviate parking problems in part of Newtown will be discussed at a meeting arranged by a local county councillor on Wednesday evening.
Parking in the Bryn Street, Crescent Street and surrounding areas has been causing concern for a number of years and escalated late last year when enforcement action was taken by Powys County Council to remove cars parked along parts of the roads.
Now, the county council is due to publish proposals on a solution to the problem. Councillor Mark Barnes is to hold a surgery with local residents on Wednesday evening when local residents will be able to see the plans.
Roads affected by the plans include:

· Commercial Street
· Crescents Street
· Roundabout end of Milford Road
· School Lane
· Bottom of Llanfair Road
· Union Street
· Frankwell Street
· Cross Street
· Chapel Street
Cllr Barnes will be at the Wedding Room at the Park Office from 15.00 until 18.30 on 21st February to hear your views and to talk through the suggested proposal.
