Police confirm arson attempt on former church

Police are continuing there investigation into an attempted arson at a former Newtown church.

The church, along Pool Road near to Clifton Terrace, was targeted on Saturday afternoon, with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service called to the scene.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident as arson.

They have asked anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to telephone them on 101.
