More work and training help for over 54s

A number of new drop-in sessions have been announced for the Workways+ Powys project helping local over 54-year-olds into work, voluntary work, self-employment or training.

"It’s open to people across Powys who are aged 54 and older and who are not currently working or registered unemployed," said Janet Davies, the north Powys development officer for the project.

Delivered by PRIME Cymru and funded by the European Social Fund and Powys County Council, the free support can include one-to-one help with on-line and traditional job-seeking, interview skills, CV writing, sourcing trial work placements, training, basic IT, voluntary work or guidance on setting-up in business.
