Newtown take on Prestatyn in the Welsh Premier League on Saturday, hoping to build on their brilliant midweek win over Cardiff Met.
The Robins trailed 2-0 at half time to the travelling students but staged a stunning second half comeback to run out 3-2 winners to the delight of the home supporters.
The visitors scored twice inside two minutes when an in-swinging cross from Dylan Rees found the net and Jordan Lam then fired home from 10 yards.
The fightback started nine minutes after the break as Neil Mitchell converted from a Ryan Kershaw cross and, when Luke Boundford was tripped in the box, Jamie Reed equalised from the penalty spot.
The winner arrived on 79 minutes when Kieran Mills-Evans sent a glancing header past keeper Will Fuller from a Boundford cross.
Struggling Caersws will need to show improvement if they are to get anything out of their Huws Gray Alliance trip to Porthmadog while Llanfair face a FAW Trophy test when they travel to Conwy.
