Super sub Joe Kenton came off the bench to hand Newtown three vital points and fire them up to eighth in the JD Welsh Premier League last night.

Luke Boundford handed his side a half time lead, before substitute Sean Cavanagh blasted Llandudno  level on the hour. But it was to be a night of replacements, as Kenton, on a few moments earlier, cut in to blast his side to victory 10 minutes from time.

Ground staff worked tirelessly throughout the day to make the fixture possible on a cold Thursday evening.

Llandudno did press at the end and saw an effort from a corner go narrowly wide, but the Robins held on for three vital points.
